You can find this in the control panel.įrom my experience this adds around 20-30% difference in your performance. Give Zankor 2017 a shot, Blackbelt, but also stargod and time machine, i wonder how much difference you get between these different tables. Wongojack, certainly annoying! Can understand that.ĭo you have the steam FPS Counter on? If so i would be interested when you play different tables. Unless you are conducting a video card bernchmark, but I wouldn't use Zaccaria for that.Įdit: Your laptop is likely to never be a good gaming candidate, stick to using it for your engineering classes. The Steam counter will measure the video card buffer, which is of ZERO use. ![]() Since the physics are directly tied to the "render engine," you really want to keep V-Sync on (or use G-Sync) as any other setting is going to give you some strange behavior, and if you are not able to sustain a solid 60fpsframes to 60hz refresh or whatever, you will need to lower your graphic option settings, or consider upgrading system components, since otherwise you get the "doubling effect" which is likely what you describe as a problem with tracking the ball. Regardless, Zaccaria does have a problem with buffer fill if you have V-Sync off and you do not limit in-game frame rate. In the game make sure you are not over riding these settings with conflicting settings.Ħ0 hertz does not always equate to 60 fps (monitor and video card measurement may differ in some cases)), but many people seem to confuse this. That changes its behavior to match a desktop graphics card instead of a Quadro.įirst, there really is only one "correct" configuration to run the game.Ĭreate a profile for the executable in your video card driver suite and set the following: I have it set to "Game Development" mode for 3d graphics in the NVidia control panel. ![]() I'm running on Win 7 64bit and my grfx card is Quadro FX 1800M at NVidia driver version 342.01. I've also tried setting the Zacc pinball process to run at "above normal" priority. Lowering render quality or resolution doesn't really seem to help. ![]() I "think" the best settings for me are to turn off the background scene and all the stuff on the second page, turn off VSync and limit frames to like 100 FPS. It's frustrating to track down because it takes some extended play to get the table busy enough to where I notice, and it seems some tables do it worse than others (Robot when the pop ups are active for example). I can't really find anything that seems to improve the situation to the point where I don't notice it. I've tried adjusting most of the graphics settings including turning off VSync, lowering the screen resolution, render quality, and turning off all the graphics settings on the second page (particle effects etc). This is hard to describe because it isn't simply that the ball slows down, it's more like the ball keeps "most" of its pace but it is harder to track. I'm really liking Zacc pinball, but I've noticed that when things get busy on the tables that I see some significant slow down of the tracking on the ball. I love pinball IRL and the computer variety. ![]()
